Bogotá is one of the few Latin American cities where the popular press has not entered en masse. Several attempts have been made but with uninspiring results. Once again Casa Editorial El Tiempo aimed its sights at a market segment which is difficult for the paper industry to permeate, tried out some model changes and launched Mío, a popular newspaper where news, entertainment and services create a unique mix.
